Robertville – Alyre Lagacé, 55, of Robertville, passed away surrounded by his family after a courageous battle against cancer on Monday (September 5, 2011) at his residence.
He was the son of Lauvina (Doucet) Lagacé and the late Gérard Lagacé.
Besides his wife, Diane Bryar and his mother, he is survived by, Three sisters, Joanne (Gilles St-Laurent) of Kedgwick, Nancy (Donald DeGrâce) of Robertville, Jacqueline (Claude Lagacé) of Dunlop; six brothers, Jean-Guy (Linda Doucet) of Robertville, Hervé (Aline Frenette) of Robertville, Lévis (Hugette Haché) of Nicholas-Denys, Michel (Lucia Roy) of Tremblay, Gilles (Lionel Marshall) of Toronto, Ont. and Stéphane (Monique Haché) of Robertville. His in-laws, Wilfred and Anita Bryar.
Several sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
His courage, his generosity toward others and sense of humour made him a remarkable and unforgettable person.
Owner and operator of Alignment Plus in Beresford, he was very well known in the area.
All through his illness he was a great example of strength. More often then not, he was the one encouraging those who were caring for him. We love him dearly.
The family received relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritag.com), Beresford. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday evening (September 9, 2011) at 7 p.m. from Eglise Ste Thérèse d’Avila in Robertvile.
