North Tetagouche - Ernest Doiron, 79, of North Tetagouche, passed away on Monday September 5, 2011, in the palliative care of Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, husband of Elva Morrison-Daigle.

Born in Rang Saint-Georges, he was the son of late Ubald Doiron and late Lauza Pinet.

He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Germaine Arsenault.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Nicole (Roger Bertin) of Bathurst, Marjolaine of Sherbrooke, Que., Joanne (Walter Savoie) of Campbell River, B.C., and Stéphane (Stacey Mushanski) of Edmonton Alta., his grand-children, Louis-Olivier, Mélanie, Julie, Luc and Zoé, ect.  His brothers and sisters, Dorina (late Edgar Godin) of Petit Rocher, Arthur (Ernestine Thériault) of Bathurst, Anna ss.cc.j.m. of Berthierville, Que., Dorice (late Benoit Laflamme) of Bathurst, Adrienne (Ernest McLaughlin) of Moncton and Raoul (Yvette Blanchard) of Petit Rocher; his very specials friends, Yvon and Raymonde Saint-Coeur, Donat Chiasson; the daughter of his wife, Gisèle and her husband Jean-Guy, also several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-laws and brothers–in-laws.

Ernest was a member of Retirement Club of Brunswick Mines, where he worked for more then 20 years. Prior to this, he worked in mining at Malartic, Quebec.  He was proud of his accomplishments in mining and work with miners rights.  He loves to be "Upriver" for fishing, hunting or pick blueberries with his friends and family.

Funeral mass was celebrated Thursday September 8, 2011 at 4 p.m. from Saint-Augustin Church of Paquetville.

The family would appreciate a donation to Extra Mural Program, Palliative Care of Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst and Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Ernest.
