1938 - 2012

Bathurst – Mrs. Exilda (Godin) Sirois, 73, wife of  Raymond Sirois, of Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (February 7, 2012) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Rivière du Portage, she was the daughter of late Marie-Reine "Rina" Comeau and late Alexander "Sandy" Godin.

In addition to her husband, she is survived three daughters: Claudette (David Meagher) of Fredericton, Micheline of Bathurst and Chantal (Guy Power) of Dieppe; two grandchildren whom she adored: Raphaëlle and Pascale; three sisters: Bertha (late Paul Doucet) of Bathurst, Bernadette Godin. St - Irenée and Marie May Godin of Caraquet; two brothers: Gérard Godin of Tracadie-Sheila and Rhéal Godin of Shippagan; her goddaughter, Tanya (Bruno Comeau) of Dieppe and their daughter, Céleste, several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces of the Sirois family.

She was pre-deceased by three sisters: Mérilda, Bernadette (both in infancy), Mérilda and a brother Joseph.

The body will rest on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, from 2 p.m. until the funeral.

The Funeral mass will be celebrated at 4 pm from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst.

In memory of Exilda, a donation to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation (palliative care unit) would be appreciated by the family.
