Robertville – Avila Pitre, 71, of Robertville and formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (July 29, 2012) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Donat and Léa (Comeau) Pitre.
He was a former employee with Eddy’s for over 25 years.
He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Adrienne (Haché) Pitre and is survived by second wife, Emma (Hachey) (Landry) Pitre.
Four sons: Maurice Clement of Robertville, André Pitre (Rachelle) of Allardville, Alain Pitre (Sheila) of Moncton and Martin Pitre (Dawn Ouellette) of Pembrook, Ont.
Three daughters: Angèle Bertin (Ghislain) of Dunlop, Monique Boudreau (David) of Shediac and Murielle Veilleux (Mario) of Montreal, Que.
Four sisters: Jeannine Legacy (Alex) of Nigadoo, Diane Comeau (Paul) of Bathurst, Lauraine Ouellette (André) and Laurette Pitre (Léo Doiron) both of Tracadie-Sheila.
Three brothers: Yvon Pitre (Nicole), Edmond Pitre (Francine) and Jean-Louis Pitre (Sylvie Basque) all of Bathurst.
15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Also survived by second wife, Emma’s 8 children.
There will be no visitation at Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (August 1, 2012) at 4:00 p.m. from Église Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila, of Robertville. Donation in memory of Avila may be made to a charity of the donors choice. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford.
