North Tetagouche - Judson Roy, 74, of North Tetagouche, passed away on Monday (September 3, 2012) at Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst son of the late George Roy and Yvette (Roy).
He worked as a butcher all of his life and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst and was a 3rd Degree member of the Holy Family Council of the Knights of Columbus, Bathurst.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Cormier) Roy.
Two children: Ronald (Diane Doucet) of Beresford and Maureen Roy (Michel) of North Tetagouche.
Two grandchildren: Chantal et Mathieu.
Three sisters: Phyllis Arseneau (Eric) and Sharon Vienneau (Ralph) both of Bathurst, Dorothy Roy (Yvon), of Petit Rocher.
Two brothers: Richard Roy (Thérèse) of Bathurst, Kenneth (Diane) of Petit Rocher.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a brother, Raymond.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave. Bathurst, Thursday afternoon (September 6, 2012) at 4 pm.
Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 only.
Donations in memory of Judson may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
