Big River - Pierre LeBlanc, 73, of Big River, passed away Thursday (December 20, 2012) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Belliveau Village, West. Co., N.B., he was the son of the late Alfred and Lea (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
He was the owner Jeannine's Bakery and the former ATS Convenience in Big River and was a member of the Chevalier de Colomb Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, Bathurst.
Besides his wife, Jeannine (Melanson) LeBlanc, he is survived by his five children: Claude of Bathurst, Ronald (Monica) of Antigonish, Pierrette Butler (John) and Robert (Tanya) both of Bathurst, Nathalie LeBlanc (Chris Burns) of Fredericton; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson, Aiden.
Four brothers: Willie (Gertrude) of Dieppe, Rheal (Pam) of Pré-d'en-Haut, N.B., Paul (Jeannette) of Dieppe and Roger (Jeanne Mance) of Memramcook.
Four sisters: Alfreda Gautreau (Alfred) of Dieppe, Bernice Belliveau (Paul) of Dieppe, Marie Louise Belliveau (Edgar) of Dieppe, Diane Poirier of Irishtown. Several nieces and nephews.
Pre-deceased by a sister, Rhealdine Cormier (Francis).
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday (December 24, 2012) at 10 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral. Donations in memory of Pierre may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
