Edmonton, Alta. – It is with great sadness that the family of Terry Hartle, announces his sudden passing on Tuesday February 5, 2013 at the University Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was 54 years old. A touching memorial for Terry was held in Ponoka, Alberta with friends, where Terry lived the latter part of his life. His ashes will be resting at Elhatton’s Funeral Home in Bathurst, New Brunswick pending burial in July.
Born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, he was the son of Jeannette Kerr (Hartle) and the late Stan Hartle.
He leaves behind his daughter, Angie Hartle of Ontario.
His son, David Hartle of Alberta. 3 grandchildren Destiny, Tyle and Vaydah.
Seven sisters: Shonne Vaughnovan, of Nova Scotia, Debbie Hartle, of British Columbia, Christine Hartle of British Columbia, Kathy Thompson, of British Columbia, Michele Le Blanc of Ontario, Maureen Boudreau of New Brunswick, Colleen Hartle-Branch, of the Yukon, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Terry’s favourite songs were, "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash, and "Cat’s in the Cradle" by Cat Stevens. He loved friends, fishing, telling "tall" tales, teasing his sisters, but most of all he loved Atlantic Lobster!
Terry’s greatest attribute was the empathy he felt for his fellow man. This proverb describes him well. "Generous hands are blessed; for they share their bread with the poor". His friends in Ponoka knew him well.
A celebration of Terry’s life with family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (July 16, 2013) from Elhatton`s Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst, NB.
