Bathurst – Mrs. Rollande Roy, 69, wife of Julien Roy, of Poirier St., Bathurst, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday (February 9, 2013), after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Allardville, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Marceline (Doucet) LeBouthillier.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children: Opale Roy of Montréal, Que., Chantale Roy (John DeVona) of Moncton, N.B. and Christian Roy of Ottawa, Ont.
Four brothers: Roland LeBouthillier (Florine) of Pokesudie, Edmond LeBouthillier (Irène), Guy LeBouthillier (Ginette Haché) both of Bas-Caraquet and Roma LeBouthillier (Valéda Roussel) of Pokesudie.
One adopted brother, Joël Gionet (Nathalie Chiasson) of Caraquet.
One adopted sister, Liette Gionet (Claudine Chiasson) of St-Simon.
Her mother-in-law, Elmire Roy.
Also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews.
She was pre-deceased by two brothers: Alfred and Polydore.
The body will rest from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm Wednesday, February 13, 2013 and Thursday from 2 pm, until time of funeral at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday (February 14, 2013) at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Rollande may be made to the Oncology Center in Moncton, Extra Mural Program or to a charity of the donors choice.
