It is with great sadness that the family of Norman Legacy announces his passing at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Thursday February 21, 2013, at the age of 75, after a brief illness of cancer.

 

Born in Allardville, Norman was the son of the late Joseph A. and Helene Melina (Morais) Legacy.

Norman worked for many years at Kenny's Ready Mix and Trucking.  He was an avid hockey fan, and was a regular at the Titan games.

Norman leaves behind his beloved wife Bibianne (Lavigne) Legacy.

Two daughters:  Paulette McAleer (Keith) of Fredericton and Yvette Arseneau (Michel) of Beresford.

Two sons:  Michel Legacy (Patty-Anne) of North Tetagouche and Donald Legacy (Caroline) of St. Anne Co. Gloucester.

Ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Two brothers:  Albert Legacy of Sudbury, Ont. and Emmanuel Legacy of Bathurst.

He was predeceased by his youngest daughter, Lise Smith of Halifax; his parents; four brothers and one sister.

Visitations will be held at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m.

The funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, February, 25, 2013 at 2:00 pm from Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst and of the Doctor George L. Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton for their care and kindness to Norman.

Donations in memory of Norman may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of donor's choice.
