1931 - 2013

Bathurst - Arthur Legacy Sr., 81, of King Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday (April 24, 2013) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Pitre) Legacy.

He worked for St. Isidore Asphalt until his retirement.

He was predeceased by his wife, Thérèse (Huard) Legacy in 2002.

He is survived by two sons: Robert Legacy (Diane) of Fredericton and Arthur Legacy Jr. (Sylvette) of Moncton. 

Five daughters:  Marie Lavigne of Fredericton, Hazel Legacy, Suzanne Legacy (Guy Downing) both of Bathurst, Denise Hamilton (Donald) of Petit-Rocher and Nathalie Legacy of Fredericton.

10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.

Two sisters:  Martina Huard (Pierre) and Beatrice Couture both of Bathurst, several nieces and nephews.

The body will rest after 2 p.m. Friday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday morning (April 27, 2013) at 11 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St.  Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
