1941 – 2013

Surrounded by his loving family and with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Roy Burgoyne, or " Danny" which occurred at the Dr. George's DumontHospital in Moncton on Wednesday, May 1st 2013.  Danny was born in Fredericton in 1941 to the late Norman and Irene (Duffy) Burgoyne of Fredericton, N.B.  

He worked for 35 years as an Engineering Technologist for the Department of Transportation in Bathurst and retired in 1997. During his retirement, Danny could be found at the Gowan Brae Golf Club, spending time at the cottage or going to the camp up on the Wildcat Road. His sarcasm and dry humour were appreciated by all his friends and extended family. He also thoroughly enjoyed traveling with his family.

Danny is survived by his loving wife Dianne (Aubé) of 42 years.

His two children: Andrea Clarke ( Mike) of Hampton and Mike Burgoyne ( Peri Deacon) of London Ontario.

And his three beautiful grandsons: Matthew and Jonathan Clarke, Holden Burgoyne, with whom he thoroughly enjoyed spending his time.  

He is also survived by his two sisters: Rhona Deveau (Brian) of Keswick N.B. and Donna Davies (predeceased John Davies) of Wakefield N.B. and many cousins, nieces and nephews throughout Canada.

Visitation will take place at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) in Bathurst on Wednesday May 8th 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A memorial service will take place at the Elhatton's Chapel on Thursday May 9th 2013 at 2:00 p.m.

For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian cancer society or the charity of the donor's choice.
