1922 - 2013

Bathurst – Lionel Thériault, 91, of Miramichi Ave., Bathurst, and formerly of Bertrand, passed away on Saturday (May 11, 2013) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bertrand, he was the son of the late Patrick and Catherine (Poirier) Thériault.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Alice May (Boudreau) Thériault.

He owned and operated a Taxi Service and later with his late wife, the former Thériault Grocery on Miramichi Ave., Bathurst.

He is survived by two daughters: Rachelle Thériault-Cole (Michael) of Haileybury, Ont., and Pauline Thériault of Winnipeg, Man.

Three grandchildren: Jonathan, Cassandra and Nicholas.

Two sisters:  Rita Poirier (late Paul-Émile) of Bathurst and Cécile Hutton (Raymond) of Daytona Beach, Florida.

Several nieces and nephews.

One brother-in-law, Richard Boudreau of Montréal, Que., and one sister-in-law, Régina Cadieux (Claude) of Montreal, Que.

He was predeceased by three brothers: Valmond, Léo, Vincent and a sister, Gabrielle Stevens.

The body will rest after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday (May 16, 2013) at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. 

Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral. 

Donations in memory of Lionel may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
