Bathurst - Mrs. Stella Legacy, 83, wife of the late Gordon Legacy, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly of East Bathurst, died Tuesday (September 21, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Tremblay, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Baptist and Emma (Fournier) Doucet.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Gordon, in 1991.
She is survived by:
Two sons:
Robert Legacy (Louisa) and
Doran Legacy (Shirley) both of Bathurst
Three daughters:
Betty Chamberlain,
Kathleen Blanchard (Bobby) and
Colette Comeau (Ken) all of Bathurst
One brother:
Victorin Doucet (Veronique) of Bathurst
Three sisters:
Julia Chamberlain (Thomas),
Eva Guignard and
Alma Godin, all of Bathurst
11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning (September 23, 2004) at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, St. Mary's Ave. www.elhatton.com Visiting hours are Wednesday 7 to 9 and Thursday from 9 a.m. till time of Funeral. Donations to the Cancer Society, Heart Foundation, Kidney Foundation or the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital, would be appreciated by the family.
