1933- 2013

Bathurst - Mrs. Marie Guidry, 80, wife of George Guidry, formerly of Jacques Cartier Dr., Beresford, passed away Friday (October 4, 2013) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late James and Beatrice (Pitre) Lavigne.

Marie was an active member of her community and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Women's League, former member of the Bathurst Curling Club, Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club, Friends in Song and the Holy Family Choir.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons: Lorn (Debbie) and John (Rachael) both of Bathurst. 

Four grandchildren: Jason (Rayanne), Tracy (Sharon Morgan), Jennifer (Andrew Davenport) and Adam. 

Three step-grandchildren: Alex, Thomas and Megan.

One sister, Vilma Landry (late Vernon) of Fredericton.

One brother, Roger Lavigne (Audrey) of St. Croix, NS.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert and a sister, Dorothy Berry.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday (October 21, 2013) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes Foundation or a favorite charity.
