Bathurst – Mrs. Violet Boucher, 96, wife of the late Lawrence Boucher, formerly of Rough Waters Dr., passed away on Wednesday (October 23, 2013) at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Bathurst. Born in South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late Israël and Sarah (Legacy) Imhoff.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence in 2008.
She is survived by one son, Clayton (Gail) of Big River.
Nine daughters: Barbara Garrett, Joyce Lavigne, Emma Chamberlain all of Bathurst, Brenda Arseneau (Donald) of Salisbury, Martha Couture (Claude) of Acton Ont., Deanna Boudreau (Armand) of Bobcaygeon Ont., Wanda Boucher of Calgary, Alta., Maureen Hachey (Pierre) of Drayton Valley Alta. and Colleen Coppel (Joel) of Moncton N.B.
Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Angela; three sons: Doran, Gary and Henry.
Violet was very passionate for knitting and rarely seen without her needles. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, was admired by everyone she came in contact with and is now resting in the arms of the Angels.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday (October 26, 2013) at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Violet may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
