1922 – 2014

Bathurst – Mrs. Rosa Doucet, 91, wife of the late Elzéar Doucet, of the Manoir Bienveillance, Beresford and formerly of Robertville, passed away on Monday (January 20, 2014) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Ste-Rosette, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Marie-Anne (Boudreau) Roy.

She is survived by her twelve children: Hector (Lucienne), Andréa (Livain Bertin), Rachelle (Clovis Bertin), and Patricia Boudreau (Jules) all of Robertville, Germaine (Gilbert Roussel) and Vicky (Aldo Mallet) of Beresford, Rosella (Michel Hamel) of Laval, Que., Lévis (Agathe) of Dieppe, Joanne (Camille Lagacé) of Petit-Rocher, Emilien (Anita) of Elgin, Gilles (Lucienne Basque) and Noëlla (Daniel Robillard) of Bathurst, Fernande (Donald Goupil) of Shippagan.

Daughter-in-law, Jocelyne Doucet of Beresford.

19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren.

Two sisters: Evangeline Godin of Robertville and Marie-Anne Doucet of Nigadoo.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by an infant son, Mario; granddaughter, Mélanie; three grandsons: Christian, Mathieu and Mario; four brothers: Omer, Livain, Alcide, Hector; three sisters; Béatrice, Yvonne, Béatrice (infancy) and a son-in-law, Hudor Pitre.

Visiting hours will start after 7 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home, 270 rue Centre, Beresford. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday afternoon (January 24, 2014) at 2 p.m. from Ste-Thérèse-d'Avila, Robertville. 

Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 and Friday from noon until time of Funeral.  

Donations in memory of Rosa may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.

The family would like to thank the staff and personnel at the Manoir Bienveillance, Beresford, for the excellent care our mother received during her stay at the manoir.
