Bathurst - Mrs. Sophie Siemieniuch, 88, wife of the late Stanley Siemieniuch Sr., passed away Sunday (January 26, 2014) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.

Born in France, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hélène Latousk.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by six children: Maurice (Anita) of Whitby, Ont., Monica Michaud (Patrick) of Burlington, Ont., Helen Couture of Bathurst, John (Stephanie) of Whitby, Ont., Anne-Marie Reagan (Rockey Rodgers) of Florida and Eddie (Nancy Morton) of Oshawa, Ont.

Nine grandchildren: Donna, René, Stanley, Maxine, Debbie, Tanya, Arianne, April and Amy.

Several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by two children: Stanley Jr. and Paul.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. 

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Saturday (February 1, 2014) at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Sophie may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
