Petit-Rocher Nord – It is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce the death of Joseph Camille Martin Gionet, 56, of Petit-Rocher Nord, which occurred on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Petit-Rocher, he was the son of Isabelle (Howard) Roy and the late Roméo Gionet.
Camille worked for the Smelter in Belledune. He was also a member of the Petit-Rocher Volunteer Fire Department. He loved to take long walks on the beach of the Bay of Chaleur with his Tim Horton’s coffee in hand as he picked up sea glass and fed the ducks.
Besides his mother of Petit-Rocher, he will be greatly missed by his daughter, Venise (Rémi David) of St-Jean sur Richelieu, Que.
His son, Yan René of Petit-Rocher Nord.
His five grandchildren: Amélie, Antoine, Cédric, Hélène and Noémie.
Five brothers: Antonio of Montréal, Que., Raoul of Gatineau, Que., Patrice (late Sylvia) of Ste-Rosette, Robert of Eel River Crossing and Victor (Isabelle Labrecque) of Ste-Julie, Que.
Four sisters: Rose (André Farley) of Gatineau, Que., Diane (Yvon Matte) of Mont St-Grégoire, Que., Lucille of Gatineau, Que. and Sylvie of Fogo, N.L., as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Besides his father, Roméo, he was pre-deceased by a sister, Suzanne.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 1 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. from Heritage Funeral Home, 270 rue Centre, Beresford.
Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 12 noon until time of Funeral.
