1941 - 2014

It is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce the death of Helena "Kathy" Cavicchiolo, 73, which occurred suddenly on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Bathurst Regional Hospital.   

Born and raised in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Helena (Lavigne) Garrett. 

Helena will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Gino, of 42 years.

Aand their two daughters: Lisa Cavicchiolo (Patrick Charron) and Lori (Kevin) Doucet both of Bathurst. 

She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren whom she adored:  Justin, Ryan, Ellie, and Joel.

Helena is also survived by one brother, Hebert (Ann) Garrett of Bathurst.

Two sisters: Theresa (late Gerard) Boucher and Eileen Kennedy both of Bathurst. 

She was predeceased by five brothers: Arthur, John, Percy, William Jr., Robert and two sisters: Rose Marie and Eleanor.

She leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Helena was an active member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, CWL, and a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society.  Her caring nature and positive outlook of life will always be remembered. 

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 11am from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. 

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
