1930 – 2014

Bathurst – Mrs. Grace Ramsay, 83, wife of the late Blair Ramsay, of Bridge St., passed away on Tuesday (February 25, 2014) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Clifton, she was the daughter of the late Hibbert and Clara (Scott) Breckenridge.

Grace is survived by six daughters:  Norma Haggerty (Harold), Ida Haggarty (William) of North Tetagouche, Debbie Judd (Levi) and Donna Ramsay both of Bathurst, Laurel Ramsay-Boudreau of Saint John and Janet Ramsay-Winsor (Keith) of Grande Prairie, AB.  

Twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by sisters: Evelyn Coombs (Gerald) of North Tetagouche, Mable Coombs (Jim) of Pokeshaw and Mary Matheson-Lorio (Joseph) of Ontario.  Brothers: Charles Breckenridge (Beverly), Morley Breckenridge and Royal Breckenridge all of Clifton and Donald Breckenridge of Edmonton, AB.

Many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by an infant son, Garnet George in 1955, sisters Ida, Emily and brothers Percy and Hibbert.

The body will rest after 7 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst.  Funeral service will be held on Saturday (March 1, 2014) from the Evangel Pentecostal Church, Basin St., Bathurst, at 11 a.m.  Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
