Lucien Luce of Vanier Blvd., in Bathurst passed away on Thursday, March 6th, 2014 at the Chaleur regional Hospital in Bathurst at the age of 78. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Albert and late Rita (Bertin) Luce.
Lucien’s favorite pass time was cooking, and he enjoyed sharing his favorite recipes with family and friends. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and had many friends in the building where he lived.
Lucien is survived by four children: Debra Anne Huard, Mary Lorraine Luce, Linda-Marie Luce and Martin-Steven Luce, all of Glace Bay, N.S.
He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers: George (Albine) Luce of Belledune N.B., and Walter (Yolande) Luce of Bathurst, N.B.
Three sisters: Bertha Christie (late William) of Toronto, Ont., Alice Boucher (Bernard) of Bathurst, N.B. and Hilda Aubé (late Denis) of Fredericton. Many nieces and nephews
The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) 187 St. George St., Bathurst on Thursday, March 13th 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be held from the Elhatton Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 14th 2014 at 11 a.m.
In Memory of Lucien, donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
