1919 - 2014

Bathurst – Mrs. Eva Guignard, 94, wife of the late Leonard Guignard, of Model Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday March 18, 2014 at Chaleur Regional Hospital.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Baptiste and the late Emma (Fournier) Doucet.

She is survived by two sons: Donald Guignard (Gertrude) of North Tetagouche, Jude Guignard (Michele) of Lugar, N.B.

One daughter, Noëlla Guignard (Stanley Godin) of White River, Ont.

One brother, Victorin (Véronique) Doucet of Bathurst. 

One sister, Alma (late Abel) Godin of Bathurst, N.B.  

3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers: Ernest, Richard and Armand; five sisters: Malvina, Florestine, Ernestine, Stella and Julia.

Visitation will be at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning March 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.  

In memory of Eva, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
