1941 - 2014

Big River, NB - Mrs. Marie Elizabeth "Betty" White, 72, wife of Edwin White, of Big River, passed away on Friday (April 25, 2014) at Chaleur Regional Hospital Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of late Edmond and Loretta (Comeau) Babin.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters:  Karen (Todd) Sherrard of Bathurst, Kim (Joey) Butler of Big River and Jennifer (Scott) Patterson of Fredericton.  Two sisters:  Bertha McAllister, Peterborough, ON, Vivian LeBreton (Al), Bathurst.  Two brothers:  Raymond Babin (Lina) of Bathurst and Richard "Dick" Babin (Terry) of Big River.  8 grandchildren, Mitchell, Ali, Jamie, Leigh Anne, Danika, Emily, Robyn and Erin.  One great granddaughter, Summer Nicole.

She was predeceased by one daughter Brenda, brothers Gordon, Cletus, Hermal and sisters, Mary, Bernice and Patsy.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (April 30, 2014) at 11 a.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
