Bathurst- Livain Godin, 71, of St. Paul St., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst son of late Edmond and Delphine (Vienneau) Godin.
He worked for the City of Bathurst Public Works Department as a foremen.
Besides his wife, Georgette (Grant) Godin, he is survived by one son, Steve (Kim Ward) of Moncton.
One daughter, Diane Godin (Stephane Robichaud) of Bathurst. One grandson, Jolyn Robichaud.
Three sisters: Bernice Theriault (late Roger) of Bathurst, Colette Vienneau (Jean Guy) of Rough Waters and Christine Doucet (Gervais) of Beresford.
Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by five brothers: Chesley, Ronald, Paul, Jean Baptist "John" and Patrick.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst, from where the funeral will leave for funeral mass at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of Rosary Church, Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Livain may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
