Bathurst - Jacques Lagacé, 73, of Bathurst, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst after a lengthy illness.
Born in Matapedia, Que., he was the son of the late Alfred and Augustine (Gallant) Lagacé.
He worked at the Villa Chaleur as a Stationary Engineer until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Yvette (Gaboury) Lagacé.
Two sons: Claude (Josette Savoie) of Thompson, Man., and Louis (Carol Comeau) of Bathurst.
Three grandchildren: Danielle, Guyanne and Gabriel.
One brother, Simon Lagacé (Francine) of Napean, Ont.
Three sisters: Denise Milheron (Carl) of Bridgwater, N.S., Louise Henly (Jean Pierre) of Orleans, Ont., and Suzanne Michaud (Louis) of Sarnia, Ont.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Clermont.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Jacques may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
