Bathurst - Aurèle Gauthier, 75, of Barthelotte St., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Frederick and Bridgitte (Pitre) Gauthier.
Aurèle was a former Crusher Operator at Brunswick Mines for 27 years.
Besides his wife, Irene (Vienneau) Gauthier, he is survived by two sons: Ricky (Isabelle) of Robertville and Kevin (Nadine) of Bathurst.
Three daughters: Diane Gauthier of Petit-Rocher, Monique Legacy (Dean) of Bathurst and Fernande Boudreau (Mario) of Petit-Rocher.
Six grandchildren.
Two brothers: Stanley Gauthier (Florida) and Eldon Gauthier both of Bathurst.
Five sisters: Alice Doucet (Frederick), Yvonne Picot (Aldor), Bertha Doucet (John), Martha Hudon and Beatrice Robichaud, all of Bathurst.
Several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Saturday morning, May 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Aurèle may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.
