Bathurst – Mrs. Marguerite "Margot" Gionet, 71, wife of the late Donald Gionet, of Sutherland Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Weymouth, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hilda (Saulnier) Comeau.
She owned and operated Quality Tax Services and later Margot’s Tax Services in Bathurst for many years.
She is survived by two daughters: Andrée LeBlanc (Paul) of Memramcook, N.B. and Lynn Gionet Sheffield (David) of Denver, Colorado, USA.
Three grandchildren: Jeremie LeBlanc, Veronique Anfinnes (Daniel) and Evan Sheffield.
Two great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Lukas.
Two brothers: Adelard Comeau of Fredericton, N.B. and Danny Comeau (April) of Liverpool, N.S.
Two sisters: Alphonsine Comeau of Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., and Brenda Jaillet (Gilles) of Oromocto, N.B.
Several nieces and nephews.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday (May 31, 2014) at 11 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst.
Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Donations in memory of Margot may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation, the Diabetes Association or a favorite charity.
