Brantford, ON - Hector Bertin, 83, of Brantford, ON, and formerly of Bathurst, died Monday (November 8, 2004) at the Brantford General Hospital in Brantford, ON.
Born in Robertville, he was the son of the late Adelard and Exilda (Roy) Bertin.
He worked for the City of Bathurst Public Works Department until his retirement. He served in World War II, with the Royal Canadian Army North Shore Regiment in Canada and overseas and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.
He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Evelyn (Vienneau) Bertin in 1985 and his second wife Lea (Roy) (Aubé) Bertin in 2000.

Twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by four brothers, Herbie, Benoit, Léonard, Léandre; and a sister, Lila.
The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon (November 11, 2004) at 2:00 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
