Salmon Beach - Gerald Allcott, 84, formerly of Salmon Beach, passed away Sunday August 4, 2014 at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.

Born in Birmingham, England, he was the son of the late Reginald and Florence Vera (Partridge) Allcott.

He was a Mining Engineer with a Masters in Geophysics, woking in the mining industry globally.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Henrietta M. (Roy) Allcott and a brother, Derek Allcott (Rhoda) who was a university professor in Scotland.

He is survived by one daughter:  Heidi Allcott (Kevin Smyth) of Ottawa, ON.  Two sons: Derek (Tess) of Big River and Nathan (Mary McKenzie) of North Carolina, USA.  Seven grandchildren.

One sister, Beryl Ellwell (Maurice) of Somerset, England.  Several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
