1927 – 2014

It is with great sadness to announce that Cora (Roy) Comeau passed away peacefully at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on Thursday, August 14, 2014, she was 86 years old.  Cora was born in Petit Rocher, she was the daughter of the late Amédée Roy and the late Daisy Martin.

Cora had a long and storied career as a school teacher having taught in the Bathurst area for 37 years. She was an avid bowler having played for numerous years and having won many awards. In addition to living a very active lifestyle and being fit, Cora will always be remembered for spending time with her family, visiting and socializing with her friends. She was an awesome mom and a SUPER grandma dealing with 4 grand kids that includes triplets.

She is survived by her son, Bernard and his wife, Jacqueline; grandsons: Lucas, Eric and Alex and granddaughter, Danelle; her sister, Irène and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, Martial; her sister, Yvette and brothers: Ronald and Alvin.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) in Bathurst.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 4 p.m. from Our Lady Rosary Church, St. Peter Av., Bathurst.
