1925 - 2014

Ste Anne, Glou. Co. – Mrs. Eleanor Jacques, 89, wife of the late Albert Jacques, of Albert St., Ste Anne, Glou. Co., passed away on Sunday (September 7, 2014) at her residence.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Dorothy (Cormier) Hachey.

She worked at the Lunch Counter of the former Kent’s Department Store and later at Jacques Convenience Store.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Albert in 2010.

She is survived by seven sons:  Bernard (Glenda) of Bathurst, Lawrence (Audrey) of Bathurst, Kelly (Debbie) of Bathurst, Eric (Gladys) of Brampton, Ont., Steven (Brenda) of Brampton, Ont., Raymond (Cindy) of Brampton, Ont., Lionel Hachey (Gloria Anne) of Bathurst.

Seven daughters:  Marie Dupuis (Gerard), Linda Doucet (Joseph), Priscilla Morrison (Roland), Christine Young (Roger), Gloria MacDonald (Bobby), Donna Jones and Sally Mazerolle (Camille) all of Bathurst.

41 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

One daughter-in-law, Mary Jean Jacques of Bathurst.

She was predeceased by two sons: Raymond, Gordon and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

The body will rest after 2 p.m. Tuesday September 9, 2014 at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. 

Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 12 noon until time of Funeral.
