Bathurst - Jean Claude Robichaud, 67, formerly of Packard St., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday October 4, 2014, at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Percy and Rita (Pitre) Robichaud.
He worked at the former Brunswick Mines for 36 years as a welder. He enjoyed painting and reading.
Besides his wife, Lorna (Coombs) Robichaud, he is survived by three children: Anne Marie Lavigne (Bradley), Marc Robichaud (Katherine Turcott) and Matthew Robichaud (Melonie Langlais) all of Bathurst. One granddaughter, Michaela.
One brother, Paul Robichaud (Danie) of Montreal, Que. Two sisters: Jane Boudreau (Maurice) of Petit-Rocher and Paula Bujold (René) of Madran. Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by two brothers: Norbert and Johnny.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Memorial Serive will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon October 7, 2014, at 2 p.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst. Donations in memory of Jean Claude may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Elhattons’s Funeral Home (www.ehatton.com), Bathurst.
