Bathurst - Gerard Doucet, 74, of Brideau Ave., Bathurst, died accidentally on Monday (November 15, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late George and Anna (Dugas) Doucet. He worked for the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Audrey (Arseneau) Doucet; One daughter: Shirley (Paul Michaud) of Bathurst; Sons: Gary Doucet (Shelby Smyth),Ronny Doucet (Denise Benoit) and Danny Doucet, all of Bathurst; Two grandchildren, Kirk Doucet, Shaun Knowles and great-granddaughter Megan Knowles; Two sisters: Leona MacGrath (Jean-Paul) of Bathurst and Agnes Boivert of Montreal, Que.; One brother: Wilfred Doucet of Montreal, Que. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Edmond and Albert. The will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon (November 18, 2004) at 2:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, St. Mary Ave., Bathurst.
