Brigitte Boudreau, 89, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly of West Bathurst, died November 17, 2004, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Caraquet, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Elizabeth (Paulin) Albert. She is survived by fourteen daughters: Claudette Cunningham (Donald), St Thomas, Ontario, Patricia Vienneau and Lucie Solazzo (Gerry) London, Ontario, Carmelle Thibodeau (Donald), Mississauga, Ontario; Blanche O'Connell, Trois-Rivières, Québec, Noëlla Trainor (Robert), Antigonish, NS, Margaret-May Noël (Tim), Fredericton; Colombe Boudreau (Barb), Grand Barachois; Joanne Tower (Gary), Rosemarie Boudreau (Albénie), Annabelle Gauvin (Yvon), Bathurst; Marie-Rita Roy (Daniel) and Claudette Guitard (Raymond), Dunlop; Anita Aubé (Reno), Laplante; six sons : Camille Hachey, Toronto, Ontario; Henri Boudreau, Trois-Rivières, Québec; Ernest Boudreau, Charlo; Clifford Boudreau, Petit-Rocher; Pierre-Paul Hachey, Bathurst; and Roger Boudreau, Dunlop; two brothers: Gervais et Albain and three sisters: Angélina Daigle, Irène Albert, and Alice Painparé as well as 47 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Isidore Hachey, her second husband, Clifford Boudreau, a son, Vernon, a daughter, Géralda, as well as many brothers and sisters predeceased her.
The body will rest after 7 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 19 from Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire Church, St. Peter Avenue. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations to the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
