Bathurst – Mrs. Anita Chiasson, 81, wife of Alfred Chiasson of Bathurst passed away on Wednesday (November 5th, 2014) at Chaleur Regional Hospital.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Benoit Couture and Suzanne (Jacques) Couture.
She was a stay at home mom, who cared for her children.
She is survived by eight sons: Gerard (Monique) of Moncton; Jean-Claude of Rocky Mountain House AB; Robert of Bathurst; Ronald of Bathurst; Jerry (Lorraine) of Maple Ridge BC; Jean-Guy of Bathurst; Thomas of Red Deer AB and Daniel of Bathurst.
Four daughters: Janet Bastarache (Danny) of Moncton, Diane Chiasson (Alain) of Bathurst, Suzanne Haché (Jean-Guy) of Bathurst and Carole Roy (Raymond) of Bathurst.
14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers: Gordon Couture, Arthur Couture and Edmond Couture, all of Bathurst.
One sister, Dora Boucher (Adrien) of Bathurst.
She was predeceased by three sons: Bobby, Johnny, Normand, two brothers, Emile and Martin
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Friday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), St-George St. Bathurst.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 8th, 2014 at 11am from the Cathedral Church, St-Andrew St., Bathurst.
Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9 am until time of Funeral. Donations in memory of Anita may be made to the I.W.K. Children’s Hospital Foundation or a favourite charity.
