Big River, N.B. - Mr. Leo Boucher, husband of the late Sheila Boucher, of Big River, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at his residence at the age of 82. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Walter Boucher and the late Frances Doucette.

 Leo worked as a heavy equipment operator for the New Brunswick Department of Transportation for many years until his retirement.

 He is survived by two sons: Walter (Beth) of Big River and James of Bathurst.

Two daughters: Linda Ivey (Kenneth) of Nackawic and Rosemarie Boucher of Bathurst.

Six grandchildren; six great- grandchildren.

Three brothers: Tommy (Hazel) Boucher of Bathurst, Laurier (Anita) Boucher of Beresford, Jerry (Fran) Boucher of Bathurst.

Four sisters: Madelaine (Walter) of Sarnia, Ont., Theresa (Alphonse) of Pointe-Verte, Marie (Cletus) of Rough Waters, Évangeline (late J.P.) of Bathurst.  Several nieces and nephews.

 Leo was predeceased by three brothers: Edward, Anthony, Jean-Claude; two sisters: Vera and Louise.  

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.     

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.        

Donations in memory of Leo may be made the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
