1936 - 2014

Robertville – Marcel Lafortune, 78, of Robertville, passed away on Wednesday November 19, 2014, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Montreal, he was the son of the Hector and Maria (Houle) Lafortune.

He worked as a distributor for "Humpty Dumpty" until his retirement.

Besides his wife Rita (Frenette) Lafortune, he is survived by two sons:  Jean Claude (Pauline) of Beresford and Christian (Louisette) of Miramichi. 

One daughter, Nicole (Serge Marchant) of Trois Rivière, Que.  Four grandchildren: Simon, David, Bianca and Samuel.

Two sisters:  Rita Portuguay (Serge) and Lucille Lafortune both of Montréal, Que.  

One brother, André Lafortune of Montréal, Que.  Several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by two brothers: René, Maurice and a sister, Germaine.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. from Église St-Thérèse-d’Avila of Robertville.

Donations in memory of Marcel made to a charity of the donors choice.
