Bathurst – Mrs. Margaret Helena Nickum, 78, formerly of Allison Cres., Bathurst, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes at the age of 78.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Dubé Sr. and Kathleen Christie.

She was pre-deceased by her brother, George and sister Jeannine.  

She is survived by her husband, Theoé

One son, Carl (Jo Anne) of Bathurst.

Two daughters: Susan (Daniel Kenny) and Karen (Mark Belliveau) both of Bathurst.

Four grandchildren: Kyle, Linsay, Kirsten and Erin.

One great-grandchild, Alice.

She is also survived by one brother, Arthur Jr. (Rita) Dubé of Bathurst.

One sister, Camilla (Daniel) O'Connell of Caraquet.  Several nieces and nephews.

Helena can be remembered by her friends and family by her generosity and kindness, her love for baking, her open arms for anyone who needed support of any kind and her love for her family and friends, a game of Rummoli and a good giggle.

Despite the empty spot your absence will leave in our hearts, we know you are in a better place.

We would like to express our thanks to the many people who helped mom through her journey of life.  God Bless all of you.

There will be no visitation. Service will be held Saturday December 13th, 2014 at the Funeral home chapel at 11 a.m.  

Donations in memory of Helena may be made to the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Foundation or a favorite charity.
