1929 - 2015
Richard Chamberlain, 85, of Chamberlain Settlement, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Sunday January 11, 2015, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Mable (Chamberlain) Chamberlain.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement.
He was predeceased by his wife, late Valida Henry.
He is survived by five sons: Isidore (Joanne), Richard (Sylvia), Ronald, Roger (Lise) and Guy (Lorraine), all of Bathurst.
One daughter, Nancy LeBouthillier of Bathurst.
Eleven grandchildren: Susie, Shawn, Cheryl, Mattieu, Christian, Danny, Donald Jr. "DJ", Stivie, Marc André, Isabelle, Sarah.
Four great-grandchildren, Sadie, Charlie, Anthony and Corissa.
Two brothers: Léo and Ernest (Delina) both of Bathurst.
Three sisters: Kathleen LeBouthillier (Aldéo) of Allardville, Agatha Chamberlain (Rhéal) of Bathurst and Marie Couture (Léo) of Ontario.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Valmond; a sister, Rita and a granddaughter, Sophie.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon January 14, 2015 at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst.
Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral.
Donations in memory of Richard, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
