Bathurst – It is with great sadness that the family of Verna Gladys Scott, announce her passing, which occurred on Wednesday January 21, 2015 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 84.

Born in Canobie, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Ira and Lula (Sealy) Ellis.

She is survived by her son, Myles and his wife Dawne of Canobie, as well as her daughter, Ellen and her husband Robert Chamberlain of Bathurst.

She will be greatly missed as well by her two grandchildren: Angela Hache (Jason) and Nicholas Scott (Melissa), as well as great-grandchildren: Mikayla, Alexa, Deacon and Aspen.

Along with one sister, Rita McLean (Charles) of Penticton, B.C. and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend, Allison in January 2012.

Verna was a loving wife and mother who was very proud of her family and took great joy in their lives.  Her pleasures in life, first and foremost, were her family, but also included knitting, crocheting, gardening, cooking and oil painting, all of which she extended a very perfectionist hand.

The body will rest after 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.

Funeral Service will be celebrated Saturday January 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst.

Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

As a token of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to a charity of the donor’s choice.
