Bathurst - Mrs. Imelda Legacy, 94, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly of Big River, died Thursday (December 1, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Robertville, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Florence (Boudreau) Godin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was pre-deceased by her husband George Legacy in 1979. She is survived by: Three sons: Wilbert Legacy and Eldon Legacy (Louisa), both of Big River Johnny Legacy (Debbie) of Bathurst Four daughters: Marguerite Duguay (Wilfred), Patricia Hebert, Evangeline Chamberlain and Irene Vienneau (Gérard), all of Big River 30 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a daughter Marie Doucet. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday morning (December 7, 2004) at 11:00 a.m. from St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst. Burial was in the parish cemetery, King Ave. Arrangements were in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
