Mrs. Anita Roy, 73, wife of Roger Roy, of Edgewood St., Bathurst, died Friday (January 21, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Evroul and Ethel (Chamberlain) Canty.
Besides her husband, Roger, she is survived by Two daughters; Pamela D'Entremont (Paul) of Lakeville, NS and Elaine Boucher (Donald) of Bathurst; Two grandchildren: Jessica and Venessa; One brother; Hector Canty (Lorraine) of Laval, Que.; Three sisters; Loretta Davis of Bathurst, Jeanne Deschamp (Aurele) of Penticton, BC and Emelda 'Millie' Pilon of Ottawa, ON; as well as Several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Adelard; and two sisters: Bertha and Rita.
The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday afternoon (January 24, 2005) at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
