1943 - 2016

Dunlop, NB - Donald Hachey, formerly of Dunlop, passed away on Saturday July 23, 2016, at the age of 73, at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Lorenzo and Léa (Hachey) Hachey.

He worked as a body man for most of his life.

Besides his wife, Anna (Godin) Hachey of Dunlop, he is survived by four children: Daniel (Brenda LeBlanc) of Beresford, Melisa Hachey (Julien) of Robertville, Linda Hachey (Claude Plourde) of Allardville and Brenda Boudreau (Denis) of Sainte-Louise.  Four grandchildren, Samantha, Isabelle, Chrystal, Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Antony and Eva.

Five brothers: Urbain Hachey (Viola), Denis Hachey (Benoit Perron) and Gilles Hachey (Rachel) all of Bathurst, Jean-Pierre Hachey (Ernestine) of St-André and Arthur Hachey (Anne Riordon) of Ludgar.  One sister, Marie Adams of Bathurst.  Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday July 27, 2016 at 2 p.m. from Holy Name of Jesus Church, Beresford.  Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Foyer Notre Dames de Lourdes Foundation or a charity of the donors choice.  Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home (www.heritage.com), Beresford.
