Bathurst- Stanley Couture of East Bathurst passed away January 29th, 2005 at the age of 91, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late André Couture and the late Bridgitte Lavigne. Stanley worked for the New Brunswick Department of Transportation for 25 years. He is survived by his wife Yvonne (Roy) Couture. 4 sons, Leonard (Marguerite) Couture Lionel (Alice) Couture Roger (Diane) Couture George (Rose-Marie) Couture, all of Bathurst. 3 daughters, Germaine Couture Violet (Aurelle) Chiasson Jeannine (Robert) Doucet, all of Bathurst. 1 sister, Eilleen Mazerolle of Grand Sault, NB Also, surviving are 30 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Visitations were at Elhatton Funeral Home, 187 St. George St., Bathurst. The funeral Mass was celebrated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, East Bathurst on Tuesday 1st February 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Mary's cemetery, East Bathurst later in the spring.
