1947 – 2016
Bathurst – Lawrence Roy of MacDonald St., Bathurst, passed away on Monday, September 5th, 2016 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness, at the age of 68.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Alcide and Albina (Grant) Roy.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marie Rose (Cormier) Roy in 2002.
He is survived by one son, Marc Roy (Christiane Vienneau) of Bathurst.
Two daughters: Carole Duguay (Gilles) of Bathurst and
Denise LeBlanc (Colette Boudreau) of Beresford.
6 grandchildren: Ricky, Jessica, Alexandra, Brady, Cloé and Joshua.
Three brothers: Alfred (Marie), Gilles and Raymond, all of Bathurst.
Four sisters: Patsy (Gary), Josephine (Vince), Rosaline and Muriel, all of Bathurst. Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three brothers: Clovis, Clarence and Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7th, 2016 from 7 to 9 at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst and Thursday, September 8 2016 from 3 pm at the Funeral Home Chapel where the funeral service will be celebrated at 4 pm.
In Memory of Lawrence, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
Lawrence’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the personnel of the Palliative Care Department of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the excellent care given to Lawrence during his illness.
