The family wishes to announce the passing of Albert Lanteigne, husband of Mabel (Pinet) Lanteigne of Picot Ave., Bathurst and formerly of Dumaresq St., which occurred suddenly after a brief illness at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the age of 81. Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Ann Marie (Pitre) Lanteigne. 

He worked underground at Brunswick Mines for over 26 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Ann-Marie Lanteigne of Bathurst and one son, Gary (Nadine) of Edmonton, AB; two grandchildren:  David Albert of BC and Melanie Anne of Edmonton, AB; one great grandchild, Hendrix; one brother, Hector (Ethel) of Dunlop and three sisters:  Elizabeth Lanteigne, Margaret Lanteigne both of Belledune and Susan of Calgary, AB.  Also several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by six brothers: Elric, Alphonse, Alex, Leonard, Gilbert "Tales", Andrew and a sister, Theresa.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be celebrated at 2 pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2016 from the Elhatton Funeral Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
