Pointe-Verte, NB – Mrs. Eva Guitar, 100, wife of the late Cléophas Guitar, of Beresford and formerly of Pointe-Verte, passed away on Wednesday April 5, 2017 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Pointe-Verte, she was the daughter of the late Marie Anne Lejeune.

She is survived by six children:  Violette Guitard, Géraldine Couture (late Martin) and Suzanne Caron (Michael) all of Bathurst, Thérèse Dumont (Jean-Yves) of Repentigny, QC, Ferdinand Guitard (Pamela Miller) of Pointe La Nim, NB and Charlotte Guitard of Beresford.

Eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by seven children: Marie, Cléophas Jr., Evengeliste, François, Jean-Marc, Sylvio, Adrienne (late Raymond Haggerty) and two grandchildren: Keith and Tanya.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Prayer Service will be celebrated from St-Paul-de-Vincent Church, Pointe-Verte on Saturday April 15, 2017, at 10:30 a.m.
