Petit-Rocher, N.B. - Mrs. Léonie Chiasson, wife of the late Ernest Chiasson, passed away on Wednesday March 22, 2017, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, N.B. at the age of 89. Born in Petit-Rocher, she was the daughter of the late Nicolas and Anastasie (Doucet) Godin.

Mrs. Chiasson worked for Bell Canada for over 40 years in Toronto.

She is survived by two brothers: George Godin (Monique) and Jean-Cléo Godin (Michelle) both of Montreal, Que.; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by six brothers and five sisters: Eveline, Henri, Hypolite, Sylvio, Lionel, Rita, Wilbrod, André, Sr. Thérèse, Cécile and Edwidge

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St-Polycarpe Church, Petit-Rocher, N.B. on Friday June 23, 2017, at 2 p.m.
