It is with sadness that the family announces the death of Leonard E. Doucet, formerly of Vanier Blvd., Bathurst, which occurred on Tuesday September 19, 2017 at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de- Lourdes, Bathurst, at the age of 92.

Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Alfred and Agnes "Jessie" (Montegue) Doucet.

He is survived by one son, Lucien of Montreal. 

One daughter, Diane Doucet Roy (Fernand) of Bathurst. 

Six grandchildren:  Sylvie, Danny, Randy, Marc, Jeffery and Louis-Pierre and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by two brothers: Donald (Marielle) and Lawrence (late Ilene) both of Bathurst and three sisters: Rita Cadieux (late Leon) of Montreal, Della Lynch (late Bill) and Doris Pitre (late Eric) both of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his wife Emily (Drysdale) Doucet in 2012, an infant daughter, Juliette and a son Gary; his brothers, Joe, William "Bill", Gilbert, Norman, Louis and his sister Stella.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 12:30 pm until time of funeral at 4 pm.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m., Friday from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Leonard may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
