Bathurst - John 'Jack' O'Neill, 77, of O'Neil Dr., Bathurst, died Monday (April 18, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late John James and Florence (Culligan) O'Neill. He worked as a Salesman in Northern New Brunswick for over 30 years. Founding member of the U.C.T. Council #827, Bathurst, he was also a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst, Cansurmount, Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club, the Bathurst Curling Club, a former coordinator for Bathurst Minor Hockey Association and was involved with the Literacy Council. Besides his wife, the former Doris Dunn, he is survived by: Two sons: Gary O'Neill (Sue) of Bathurst Brian O'Neill (Ruth Ann) of Summerside, PEI One daughter: Dawn O'Neill of Moncton, NB One brother: Charlie O'Neill (Eileen) of Belledune, NB Three sisters: Marjorie O'Neill of New Westminster, BC Eileen O'Neill of Belledune, NB Theresa Libby (Ken) of Minto, NB Six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon (April 21, 2005) at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring. www.elhatton.com Visitation are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday from noon till time of Funeral.
